Unexploded Bombs Detonate in Oroku

On March 2, 1974, during rainwater pipe construction in front of a kindergarten located in the Oroku district of Naha City, several unexploded shells detonated, killing four people (including children) and injuring 34. This accident was found to be caused by leftover Japanese Army buried mines and the country was questioned about how it dealt with its post-war responsibilities.
