Born 1929 in Osaka. In 1936 he returned to his family's home in Kadena, Okinawa. Father Rinsan Teruya was a respected expert in Ryukyuan classical music and his son Rinken Teruya has become one of the more prominent musicians in the Okinawan pops genre. After WWII Rinsuke was active throughout Okinawa as a comedian together with the late Buten Onaha. His works include "Watabu Show". In 1988 he released "Rinsuke Teruya 67 no Seishun". Recipient of the Okinawa Times Performing Arts Festival's new artist award and in 2000 was awarded the Okinawa Prefecture Cultural Achievement Prize.
