| Futenma Air Station is located right in the middle of Ginowan City and occupies around 25% of the area of the city (4.83 square kilometers). It holds a helicopter base for the Marine Corps. The runway length is 2.8 kilometers and is 46 meters in width. The U.S. aircraft arrive and depart frequently.
