| This memorial was built as part the 50th anniversary memorial in Mabuni, Itoman City. This area was the location of the final conflict in the Battle of Okinawa. An unveiling ceremony was conducted on June 23, 1995. The names of all those who died in the Battle of Okinawa are inscribed on the wave-shaped stone walls of this memorial.
