Umi-Nari-no Zo Sculpture
In 1987 the City of Naha erected this sculpture in Asahigaoka-koen Park to mourn for those sacrificed in shipwrecks during wartime. It is said that there were over thirty ships from Okinawa lost during the war but because documents related to this are still classified the exact figure is not verifiable and might possibly be larger.
