This piece was created with the Mitsudae litharge decoration, Hakue gold leaf applique and has short legs attached to the underside. On the surface, the litharge, a quick drying lacquer based paint, has been applied and a landscape scene with people has been painted in Hakue gold leaf applique and lacquer. The rim has been repaired and a portion of the decoration has disappeared. This piece is believed to have been produced in the 17th or 18th century in under the royal magistrate in charge of shellwork and lacquer.
