Sanpu-Ryumyaku Hi Stele
This stele was erected on orders of a high minister in the monarchy, Saion, next to the Hinpun Gajimaru (a small-leaved banyan tree) in 1750. The inscription written says that there was a proposed a plan to transfer the capital from Shuri to Nago and a project to build a canal in Haneji. Saion reviewed the plans using Fusui-gaku (a Chinese divination method to determine the harmonic placement of buildings, etc). Saion stressed the following: The three principalities (Kunigami, Nakagami and Shimajiri) should unify in the shape of a dragon with the head in Shuri. The two projects suggested would change the desirable shape of the dragon and thus damage national spirit.
