Nakagusuku Castle Ruins
This castle was built on a high plateau overlooking the Nakagusku gulf in the middle part of the main island of Okinawa. It is one of the best-preserved castle remains left in Okinawa. This castle was built by Gosamaru in 1440 and is said to have been destroyed in the conflict with Amawari, the lord of Katsuren, in 1458.
