The Hojo-kyo Bridge of Enkakuji Temple
Constructed in 1498 AD
Because the many fine details on this bridge, for example the carved Shisa (Chinese lions) on the main posts, it is considered the foremost example of stone carving in Okinawa. The bridge was partially damaged during WWII but was repaired and restored in 1957. Designated an Important National Cultural Property
