Model of the Shinkosen Tribute and Trade Ships

Tribute ships were dispatched from the Ryukyus to China once every two years. The 40m long and 10m wide ships held about 100 people with two to four ships forming a tribute fleet. Okinawa Prefectural Museum Collection
