This chapter introduces a History of Okinawan Fine Arts after World
War II. Okinawan artistic scene re-started at the Nishimui Art Colony where
many vigorous artists gathered. Artists' Index introduces works of each artist
covered in the following essay.
Naoki Onaga introduces the Okinawan art in postwar era. He is a curator at the Okinawa Contemporary Art Museum Project of Okinawa Prefectural Government.
