| This is a slightly elevated hill that overlooks the runway of Kadena Air Base, the largest U.S. base in the western Pacific. Two times the area of Narita Airport in mainland Japan, the base occupies over 83% of the town of Kadena. Many military jets, including F15 fighters, utilize this airport.
